muhahaha....added to the garage. 2001 540i BMW. =). Yes today my dad gave in and got a 540i. muhahaah sweet. Got a hell of a good deal. ES300...ummm ill still love it. Just that I would tell yall.

haha true...but man Lex is still our #1 car. It's been in our family for so long. And we are not going to quit now. 540i is just another addition.

Congrats on the purchase of the 540i. You'll definitely feel the power of the V8 and the 280 horses on that one. Did you get the 6-speed? Navigation? I've always loved the steering wheel controls, very classy. Spill out some more details of the beamer like color and leather trim, and gotta show us a couple pics of the new addition to your family

Thanks lexusk8. No 6-Spd Manual or Navigation. Well lets see, its fully loaded with the Sport Package, Tan interior and a classy Artic Pearl White Exterior. It gives the car a really nice look. The V8 is so bad azz, I never really thought I would convince my dad of getting one.,but I guess the price was too good to pass. It's got all the niffty controls,took me a while to figure out how to unlock the doors. lol. And of course the Steptronic Tranny comes with it. What else, oh yeah the interior is very classy as you said, it gives off a nice classy look, but yet also has a sporty side. Overall its a very nice car to have, I guess out of luck we got this car. If yall are looking for a car, I'm telling you guys anyone is welling to make a a good deal these days if you look around. People need money, and they are welling to sell it for good price. I'll post some pics after christmas. But yeah I still love my lexus...its still #1 in my book ...

Congrats, 540i with sport package is a GREAT car. My neighbor has one and I was in it with him last night. He has the nav and concluded a while back that it was worthless so it's good you didn't get it.

But the combintion of comfort, handling, smoothness and power can't be beat in a factory setup.

The BMW 5 series is one of my favorite cars. Didn't get one because I was afraid of the reliability issues I heard come with owning it. Let us know how it holds up.

The 5 series that just got replaced is probably the most reliable of all BMW's on the road now. I won't mind having one, I much prefer the 540 over the new 545. BTW, congrats for the new car.
