msilverIS: Indeed, Toyota Power.

How come?.....

Maybe it would've been more exciting had they let the Apache helicopter shoot at it with its 30mm gun and see if it survives or not.

I suppose that's funnier for people who didn't have friends lost in 9/11

I hear you. Sorry for what happened.

But saying this is like me hating everything about Japanese (including their cars, electronics, etc.) for slaughtering my ancestors during WWII.

It's time to move on. I am sure that's what those who sacrificed their lifes on that day would've wanted us (or in your case, you) to do as well.

May these poor souls rest in peace. And may you feel better about your loss as well.

Regards,

Jon

I know what you mean. If I were you I'd probably feel the same way.

Feel free to take it off the thread list......

Take it easy though. Your friend prob. would've wanted you to feel better if he was still around.

Well, as far as the Japanese (and ****) World War II atrocities are concerned, yes, that is true, but it is just as true that before the rise of Japanese cars in this country, Detroit shamefully fostered off junk on the American public literally for decades. And I MEAN exactly that....... JUNK. Corvairs. Pintos. Vegas. AMC Gremlin. Omni / Horizons. Volare / Aspens. X-Car Citations. Fairmonts. K-Cars. The awful GM 350 V8 diesels. Chrysler minivan transmissions continually failing . Pontiac Fieros......fun, yes, but perhaps the worst new American car, quality-wise, ever built. It took intense Japanese (and German) competition to give us the at least reasonably well-built domestics we have today. So don't worry even in the least about where a car id designed, built, or sold....even in the global car economy we have today. If you like a car and it fits your needs, buy it and don't worry about where it comes from.

That's a very good way to put it.

I do not hate Japanese products or cars. To me they're very well built cars and deserve to be treated well. I only mentioned this as an analogy to OLT's point.

I could not think of a better way to say it!

Default Do you really want to know how reliable our cars are? Watch....

I apologize if this is a repost....but if this doesn't give you confidence in the build quality of our cars nothing will.

I love my Toyota... but I sure hope I never have to put it through that to prove how quality it is.
