Darden I feel your pain but unfortunately that is like a daily look up here in Mass. This morning there was like 3 in on the ground and I almost lost her in a turn. Hate the winter just hate it.

Just pure snow on the ground is fine with me, but when freezing rain is added to the mix, then it becomes an instant driver's nightmare. I drove back from the LGA airport after picking up my parents last night, and it was one hell of a drive back home. Avg speed was 30-40 mph along the Hutchinson Pkwy and 684, and ice consistently gets built up on the driver's view of the front windshield, making the defroster and wipers pretty useless. Good thing I got additional weight on the back of the car (i.e. my parents and their luggage) so my car felt planted and secure to the highway roads the entire time

wow, you guys are brave to venture out in this condition. my car sat in the same spot for three days straight. well, i didn't get snow or all season tires so the car has the summer performance tires that came with it.
i tried driving once in december when there was less than an inch of snow on the ground...i could not even get out of the parking lot. that was probably a good thing.
so whenever ther's any accumulation of that winter stuff, i sit at home.
cabin fever! can't wait to go to the bank right now.
good thing the snow storm came during my days off from work. only had to take one extra day off to make sure all the nasty stuff is gone.

we're getting snow up here in NE but not the 12inches that was originally predicted. The LS is in the garage staying shiny while my Jeep GC takes the weather in stride.

I cant believe they didnt cancel classes at UMass Dartmouth yesterday. Every other surounding school was called off for the day. Oh well.
My cars been in the same spot for almost 2 days now... I just loath cold starting it in this weather, so I usually walk to class and brave the winter. Im getting used to it and dont mind anymore.
Next week I'll take mom's civic AKA "THE BEATAH" to school with me
