I second that. I would avoid any situation that woudl give someone that is not in a humorous state to trash your car. Leave the alarm to do what it's supposed to do--sound an alarm only when it's been tampered with--like being towed, broken windows, etc.--and not just annoy/instigate mere passerbys trying to get into a car near yours. You drive a Lexus, and most people will assume that you have an alarm--no need for it to make announcement.

Besides, talking cars are just an enticement for trouble--whether the owner's intent was for humour or not.

Sorry dude.... from me too. I swing by Mom's house every morning to kick back, have a cup of java, and read the paper. Her neighbor has one of those talking alarms and it bugs the crap out of me.

For some odd reason....they don't disarm the dang thing before they approach the dang truck.

On a side note....I had a friend who owned an Alarm shop a few years back. He sold a similar system that had a voice warning. Anyways, he told me that buyers would return asking to remove the voice function cuz their car would get damaged by ppl who got pissed at the voice and would kick the car. LOL!!

I've never heard one or even heard of one before; have you since you were in the business? Or other folks that go to car shows more than me? I think you have to order an entirely different siren module to make it work.

Based on the mixed reactions (thanks for the feedback!), I'm only going to consider getting this if I can toggle it on and off easily so that it's the normal soft chirp / alarm unless I set it specifically on JDM-speak.

It came out after my time dave, but from what i have seen with the honda imports if it says JDM, has a blue glow, or has carbon fiber anywhere on it , they have found it.

I am just anticipating a boom in the sales when (if it hasnt happened yet) they figure this out.
