I took my ES300 up to 130mph and it only took about four days to get there. LOL

SC400, stock supension, 18"s with Z rated Yokohama AVS 100 rubber.
Last summer, cant remember exactly when, I opened the SC up on a deserted rural road (Hwy 1396 in Texas). Hit 125 before I decided to back down as there was a curve coming up. I need to take it to west Texas where the roads are long, straight, and empty. I'm definitely game to hit 140, but not until my TT brake upgrade is completed, and my bushings replaced. Maybe I should get one of those wings....

Default How fast?

Perhaps a better question for this forum would be how fast you have HONESTLY driven your Lexus. There's an old saying...don't believe everything you read.

My answer to this would be......fast enough to get me decently where I'm going and slow enough to keep my insurance.

Are you speaking to anyone in particular or just everyone in general. My GS430 is modded and granted the speedo saying 140 is not actually 140, but something more like 137 or something due to imperfections in the calibration of the speedo. But my speedo said 140. Or are you just questioning the 150?

Not everyone here claims things that haven't happened!

I agree, all the claims on this thread is hear-say. I think the only official way to document top speed would be to back it up with a speeding ticket. But FORTUNATELY I can't back up my claim....hahaha!

Maybe we should all take pictures of our speedometers while we're driving, or have a passenger do it if one is present at the time.

no false claims in my department... whatever the top speed is in this car, it was reached (to make it real simple) and won't happen again!

Agreed, no need for false tales. On a long stretch of highway after cruising at 95-105mph, a quick burst up to 145 or so, is not that hard to believe anyway!!

Now if someone comes on and says they hit 199 in their GS, then I'll be like
