Buyer's remorse for 78% of car buyers

Did you ever had buyers' remorse for Lexus or non-Lexus cars ?

(You can vote for both Lexus and other brands in this poll)

Don't forget....there are several different kinds of so-called "remorse". Some involve dissatisfaction with the vehicle itself. Some involve just second thoughts about being able to make the monthly payments, things like "Should I have bought instead of leased?"....or vice versa. Some involve high insurance premiums....higher than expected. Some involve the razzing people get from friends and family who look down on certain brands, like Chevy people who look down on Fords, "domestic" fans who look down on so-called "foreign" makes, etc...... And some involve very high satisfaction with the dealer, like Saturn, and much lower satisfaction with the vehicle itself.

Lexus buyers, in general, have one of the lowest "remorse" rates in the industry....even considering the generally high prices they pay.

Jeep owners seem to have one of the the lowest satifaction rates with the dealer and the vehicles both....even considering the continuing popularity of the Wrangler with the off-road crowd.

If this hasnt have to deal with cars

i used to work at Best Buy part time unloading trucks and let me tell you we threw appliances

like they were frisbees not so much the T.V.'s but dvd players ,playstation 2,celll phones just name it

it gets thrown and i understand that they have styrafoam inside but when they offer

you the extended plan on these things sometimes it pays to be a little extra cautious

Let's see, I went from a 540ia that was perfect in every way (including reliability) to a GS430 that has been in the shop for almost a month now - and that's just for one of the problems! Hmmmm, yes, I think I'm one of the 78%

Which model years 540 and GS are you talking about? Yes, the old 540 was a wonderful car......the new Chris Bangle 5-series is a POS.
Lexus products in general have excellent reliability records....old and new It is rare for a Lexus to truly be a lemon....but perhaps not unheard of, as your case might suggest. The largest single Lexus problem is the 3.0 V6 engines jelling and siezing up from people not changing the oil.

I would PM you but - you don't have a PM button!

Anyway, had a 2000 540ia. I agree, the new ones are not to my liking - I personally hate the headlights and the tailights. I do however love the new 745/760 - with the exception of the interior which is just bland to me.

I have a Monday morning/Friday afternoon car for sure - yes, even in Japan they have hangovers
