so a late 90s model...probably a sedan for the power suit.
and a gas saver...
i personally like the following under the conditions above:
Acura Integra
Honda Civic
Toyota Corolla
Celicas are pretty cool as well. your friend's car is a two door hatch...so will a coupe fit your power suit?
i actually also like the look of the pre-2000 Eclipse. i don't like the new design from 2000 and up.

That's a heck of a slamming / customizing job she's done on it....I didn't even recognize it as a Civic. it looked more like a Daihatsu with those pronounced fender flares.
As far as getting the car from HER......I'd be more concerned about who is going to want it when YOU'RE done with it.

Invest in a beater car and with the thousands you save, put that towards your Lex.
Here is my beater I got for $500. I drive it to L.A. and back from time to time to pickup parts for my Lex. Plus, when I go fishing, I can throw eveything in the bed.....pick-ups are so useful

And if I need to negotiate over rough terrain or rugged trails, I got this gray Jeep Cherokee for $600.
The red Corolla is my daily driver back and forth to work.
The Lexus is my weekend warrior....lol

This my second pre-1992 B series pickup. I also had an 84 Sundowner too. All have been reliable though.....

...
Why buy a car that's all modded already?? Half the fun of having a car is modding it yourself!
