The rear could use a facelift but other than that its nice for a compact sedan!

i dont like it, not my taste. i am sure that the current perfect E46 3 series will be ruin by Mr. Chris Bangle again. That's the only car in bimmer left to be messed up.i think Chris Bangle is secrately working for LEXUS and MB. he said "it takes a while to get used to with his NE W REVOLUNIZED design" i think it's been a while since the new 7 series come out and those things do not still look like cars to me.
One more thing, i am glad that he is not working for the engineering depertment. Otherwise he would somehow find a way to make the engine looks like a FISH!.

Pole Position
Puts the Anus in Heinous ugly.
I know the answer but I have to ask the question.
How could a company go from producing arguably the most beautiful production line of any car company (outside of niche players like Ferrari) to producing the ugliest cars on the planet.
Someone stop Bangle.

If you mean the Mazda 3, I HAVE driven it....as I stated in my post. If you mean the 1-series Bimmer....no, I have not....it is not offered here yet.
But the Mazda 3 is not about numbers. it is about what Mazda used to call "Kansei" engineering....driving feel. VW called it "Farvergnugen" . The Mazda 3 is a pure and simple 4-door sports car.....its steering response and feel will amaze you for a car in this class. I took it literally around a harpin turn with nothing more than a flick of the wrist. And the Mazda has not been messed up with I-Drive like the BangleBuggies.
No, I'm not a Mazda salesperson....I'm too honest to sell cars.

I haven't driven any Mazdas except for the Miata, but from what I hear and see, they're doing great things.

OOOGLY!......Why Bangle, Oh why?
I'd also go with the Mazda 3, and I'm sure the 3 would be much cheaper than the 1 series.
Actually, I'd even go with a Civic Coupe anyday before this BMW disgrace. A Civic coupe
looks much better, has more power (I believe), will last longer with much less problems,
and is also cheaper.
If this does arrive in America, it would be a big mistake for BMW to move this downmarket.
It completely takes away the whole prestigious image of a brand. There's Hyundai's and Kia's
more upmarket than this! You won't see Lexus going below the $30,000 area for this reason.
That's why Toyota is there.
