There's a bunch of other pics on the second page of that thread, at:

I'm amazed how hideous the front air dam, rear skirt and the side skirts are. They look so tacked on like a really bad body kit. Also, the shark fin antenna looks so tacked on too.
No doubt it will be very fast and handle very well (and very expensive), but it's still butt ugly.

If BMW wants to be ahead of their time they should fix their inferior audio and make sure the 4.4L is better than LExus' 4.3L
strange looking car...and the sideview wtf? unholy proportions.
edit
actually bmw is ahead of its time IMO, theyre cars are so much better than the competitions engineers/execs can now predict the future.
Piech's folly = Bangle's folly

I feel more positive about it than negative.
It's definately better than most other Bangle creations.
Certain details take getting used to but overall
for the M5
The numbers don't hurt either - 500 HP V-10
- Think "Viper Power"!
It's definately better than most other Bangle creations.

Me like it

There are rumors that its gonna be 0-200 km/h in 13 sec. -> 0-125 in 13
Road and track team managed to run 1/4 mile on e55 in 12.4/ at 116.4, so the question is if e55 can make 116 ->125 in 0.6

IMO once m5 will come out in North America E55 will already have new 6.3L N/A (not sure) engine from the new CL and gonna be ahead of the game again, hopefully.
P.S. .....or you can just buy a used 2003 or 04 S600 for same $$$$ and be even faster.
