I've always got that itch, but I look at what I can do with the money I'm going to spend on a new car and it always changes my mind. Might be time to turbo your GS and do some suspension work. You won't spend too much time looking at those other cars after that unless you want AWD.

The reliability will be there, more so than other possible turbo cars.
Post a pic of your car so we can tell you what you might want to try.... People on here will give you so much info and advice that your head will explode.

You dare question Toyota reliability? That'll get you lynched around these parts.
Seriously though, a properly turbod Toyota engine will easily outlast a Sub/Mits/Mazda. I'm not sure how far along you are in your GS payments but it'll cost you less in the long run.

....or just supercharge it...either way your decision goes you WILL spend money
Even if you decide to get an STi or Evo...you will STILL spend money!
I am always looking....thinking about an AMG C32 or the new C55 or wait for the GS350 GT or ??? Lot's of decisions...maybe you should trade the GS for a similar year IS since it's a bit more "sporty"!

kva, u know me the game best when it comes to me with my money.
ya, for reals, i so regret not getting an IS. love everything about it except the seats aren't quite as comfy. but that's really minor.
thanx ironcobra, i think my bill will explode as well
someone said about 8K to turbo charge gs3? what's the difference between supercharge like kva has mentioned to turbor charge? can i still hear the turbo sound??

With the 300, you can run with the option of single turbo or Supra TT swap. Whatever the option (turbo or SC), you're looking at downtime on the car and $_$.

siniquezu , dun crush my day dream okay!! (jp) def. wouldn't be a swap. if anything, i've read more about the srt than anything else, especially the rm(roll eyes. jk)
and u r absolutely rite, lots of money and downtime, yup.
but if durability will stand for itself and not become a major challenge, the entertainment is worth the time to at least investigating it.

Lots of superchargers are avialable...out of the box, PLP makes one that should be a very easy install...and all for $4500....in the shop for maybe a day. You can also go with a toyomoto sc but will need some custom piping done...anything that can be done to the IS can be done to the GS (were just talking SC here)...

Friend of mine is looking at the RX-8 - very nice. Would love that as a 3rd car - especially since you can get one for $29K. Saw the new 3 - most impressive. Personally would not mind one of those. Saw the new 6 hatchback - AWESOME. Dash is ugly, but that car is great looking and can be had for $26K.
Summary....I understand the itch. I wish I could have 10 cars....a year. Oh and everytime I see a BMW 3 series I think I made a mistake leasing the GS.
