Toyota Motor Sales, USA Announces Management Changes

Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. (TMS) today announced the below-listed organizational changes, effective immediately.

Dian Ogilvie, formerly group vice president & general counsel is promoted to senior vice president & general counsel. Ogilvie will also serve as chief environmental officer and oversee internal auditing. She continues to report to Dave Illingworth, senior vice president, and chief planning & administrative officer.

Tracey Doi, formerly vice president and controller, is promoted to group vice president and chief financial officer, replacing Mike Deaderick who retired following an accomplished career at Toyota dating back to 1971. Doi will also report to Illingworth.

Jim Lentz, formerly vice president, marketing, is promoted to group vice president, marketing. Lentz continues to report to Don Esmond, senior vice president and general manager, Toyota Division.

Jane Beseda, formerly vice president, North American parts operations, is promoted to group vice president, North American parts operations. She continues to report to Bob Daly, group vice president, Toyota customer services.

Eiji Nagano, formerly group vice president, motorsports, Toyota Racing Development (TRD) and corporate accessories is promoted to officer and appointed to the board of TRD. Nagano will continue to report to Massy Tomozoe, senior vice president and chief coordinating officer.

Naoya Taniguchi, formerly group vice president, advanced product strategy and corporate communications, is promoted to officer and will continue to report to Tomozoe.

Kazuo Ohara, formerly group vice president, corporate planning and the University of Toyota, is promoted to officer and will also continue to report to Tomozoe. Additionally, Ohara is charged with oversight of truck operations for the Toyota Division where he reports to Takeshi Isogaya, group vice president, Toyota Division.

Ernest Bastien, formerly corporate manager, vehicle operations group, is promoted to vice president, vehicle operations group. Bastien continues to report to Jim Lentz, group vice president, marketing.

Andrew Coetzee, formerly corporate manager, product planning, is promoted to vice president, product planning. Coetzee continues to report to Chris Hostetter, vice president, advanced product strategy and product planning.

Randy Pflughaupt, formerly corporate manager, distribution operations, is promoted to vice president, distribution operations. Pflughaupt continues to report to Al Cabito, group vice president, sales administration.

Mike Reding, corporate manager, corporate accessories, is promoted to vice president, corporate accessories. Reding continues to report to Bob Daly, group vice president, Toyota customer services.

Cheryl Hughes, national manager, compensation and benefits, is promoted to corporate manager, compensation and benefits. Hughes reports to Miles King, group vice president, human resources.

Jacqueline Thomas, formerly internal audit director, is promoted to corporate manager and internal audit director. Thomas will report to Ogilvie.

A restructuring of the Information Systems (IS) department has resulted in the following organization changes, with all executives reporting to Barbra Cooper, group vice president and chief information officer:

Ken Goltara has been appointed vice president, automotive systems, a newly created position tasked with supporting the business needs of TMS' automotive divisions. Additionally, Goltara assumes responsibility for the systems supporting field and dealer operations.

Max Kimble, formerly national technology manager, is promoted to corporate manager, design and engineering, where she is responsible for the IS department's new design and engineering group.

Randy Bauer, formerly corporate manager, production services, has been appointed corporate manager, operational services. In this new position, Bauer oversees the stability and availability of the technology infrastructure and applications. Additionally, Bauer continues to serve as chief information security officer.

Doug Beebe, formerly corporate manager, information systems, has been appointed corporate manager, business support systems, a new position within the IS department. Beebe will support the business needs of divisions including administration and planning, diversity, and corporate communications. Additionally, he will focus on the growing demands from TMS' affiliate companies.

Karen Nocket, formerly corporate manager, enterprise architecture, has been appointed corporate manager, Toyota customer services systems, also a new IS department position. Nocket will support the business needs of the customer service division.

(TMS) is the sales, marketing, distribution and customer service arm of Toyota, Lexus and Scion in the United States, marketing products and services through a network of 1408 Toyota and Lexus dealers in 49 states. Established October 31, 1957, TMS and its subsidiaries are also involved in logistics, motorsports, R&D and general aviation.
