Default 94 Supra Twin Turbo, 6-speed, 150,000 miles how much?

Here's the deal:

First of all, sorry to post in this section but I trust the opinions of the GS section of the board more than any other so I figure I won't be misguided with the replies here.
While filling up my GS, I saw a red 94 Supra Twin Turbo, 6-speed! The car was clean and STOCK! A mature owner too! I asked him if it was for sale and he said he'll sell it for $15,000.
The car does have 150,000 miles on it but it looks clean ( I only had 1 minute to look around).
So the question is, how's the market for this car?
Most importantly, can this car sell easy for $19,000 even though the miles are high?
I heard the TT 6--speed has a very high demand but in reality, how much are people willing to pay for these cars?

gs4to4 ,

If it's that clean I would say grab it quick!! As an owner of (2) MKIV Supras they are hard to find and appreciating despite mileage, and 6 speeds are hot. Check for low compression on the #6 cylinder (common) and turbo's. easy fix as short blocks are reasonable and used twin turbos are easy to come by.

Have fun, happy modding!!

$15,000 for a MKIV TT Supra 6 speed....you better ****** this up before he sees F and F then jack up the price like everybody else did.

Buy and Buy now.

My friend Nero has a hardtop with 145k miles on it, bought it with a semi-bad tranny and bad turbos for something like 17-19k. Of course he redid most of it but with the way people are "restoring" these cars now I wouldn't be suprised to see such a car go for 20k.

I think they say check the compression pressures to make sure the pistion rings and valve seals are tight....sounds like an awesome deal. Is it a hardtop?

I think Steve paid approx $25k for a high mi, clean hardtop Supra.

I think 15K is great price in US.. but 150k miles seem to be little too high...

here in Japan... 94 Supra RZ 6sp with 64000km (40k miles) asking for only 9K at used car dealer.. quite of few has been sitting at the same lots near where I live for weeks... i guess here demend for used supra wasn't quite high as US

Question Be careful with a used turbo

Be careful with a high-mileage used turbo. Turbos often don't age well.....they tend to have a high failure rate, especially if not given high-quality oil, frequent changes, and spool-down periods before shutting off the engine. That's not to say the previous owner was negligent or careless, but it is a potential problem area.

I guess I should add.

If you are looking to build a Supra this is the perfect car. I'm sure quite a few shops will want it.

If you want this as a daily driver, it will quickly become a money pit.

30K including hte card and you would have a hell of a ride.
