yeah, it was an Inline 6
The Twin Turbo version(2JZ-GTE) varied a little bit from the NA(2JZ-GE). The bad thing is, you can't just swap a few parts out and have the other engine.

Those engines can be tweaked to give 1000+hp. Ive seen several with 800+ hp.

I agree, but there's no v8 sound now... Ohh well! At least you have more power to play with.

Don't forget the 7M-GE and the 7M-GTE. Not only can you get them for $1,100 (for the turbo) it can also handle 400+ hp AND you can stroke it for $2,200

Those motors are notorious for blown headgaskets. If i were to ever build an MA70, id definately go 1JZGTE.

Tsk Tsk....T.L.W. my poor unlearned friend....

Check out my Toyota Aristo (aka Lexus GS on your side of the pond) with the stock "supra engine" at its current state at the shop getting a few toys installed.....

Some of the things you can see immediately are the HKS type-S intercooler, the permacool ATF cooler, the night pager water bypass kit, HKS RS intake, HKS SSBOV SQV.....

...should be good for around 400hp when I am done with this sucker...and that's before fuel tuning.

Im not a Supra expert but here are what I know the Supra's came with:

1985-86 5MGE non turbo
1988-94 7MGE non turbo or the 7MGTE turbo models. The US didnt get any of the 1JZGTE motors.
1995-? 2JZGE non turbo or the 2JZGTE turbo models.
