Skyline. However if I were being practical (better access to parts, a dealer to take it to) I'd go 97+NSX

NSX-R
Skylines are overated, of course power is easier.
The two cars have little in common.
NSX 360Modena GT3
996TT R34 Supra

Neither.
skyline is still a rolling box nissan, and the nsx is still a fast honda.
i don't have anything against either of them specifically i just would rather put the cash into something else given the option. two non exotics, big price tag.
I know dave and K are happy with their NSX, so it's just different strokes.

Given choice of the two I'd try the Skyline because I've already tried the NSX... probably would consider one of those if they were sold over here in G35 trim (w/ boost). Less so on the older ones.

which
Get both.
If you have to choose...the Skyline should satisfy the need for power. The NSX has that cool factor. Not everyone will know what you have with the Skyline. Car enthusiasts, yes... everyone else, no. In the NSX, everyone will look...everyone will ask questions...most will want a ride. Which one of these people are you? The power guy getting attention only from us other car guys or the cool guy getting attention from everyone?

I believe one Sport Compact Car Magazine put it best when they described the Skyline as a "ballistic refrigerator, ramming its way through the air." The NSX is so sleek and sexy, I'd have a hard time saying no to it. It absolutely SCREAMS exotic and can easily be parked next to Ferrari and still get attention. The Skyline is a car guy's car. . . respected by true enthusiasts and unknown to the rest of the "normal" world. I mean most people would think it's just a whacked up Prelude. In the realm of supercars, or quasi-supercars in this case, they are all plenty fast. If you like the Skyline for it's power and AWD then you are truly devoted to performance. . . because man that thing is ugly. Form over function for me, the NSX wins.
