get the m3, i own one and ill gurantee u will not be disappointed, also for the 2001 there were some problems but they were fixed by the dealer and in some cases new engines were put in, but the good thing is that bmw exteneded their warranty for six years 100K miles on powertrain for these cars. if u were local and did not pick the m3 up, i would jump on it in a heart beat.
