Also, speaking of the Ion, notice that this is the first Scion without the Ion's center-mounted-type gauge pod. I've never been a fan of that design. Unfortunately, we're starting to see that design even in more expensive vehicles...witness the Nissan Quest and the Panoz roadster.

Toyotas vvti engines are hard to turbo. But a supercharger may work if its the right price. If only they could offer that package for 13 grand.

Agreed it blows the Ion away, but that doesn't take much...in spite of the advantages of the plastic panels, the Ion is one of the poorest fit-and-finish cars on the market...with an interior that would make a Yugo look plush.
