But what about the ES330 and the new GS300 with 225 and 245hp respectively? Hows the Avalon going to have more power than a Lexus, and more features. RECLINING REAR SEATS. The new GS doesnt even have that. Really confusing. Well, I guess we will have to wait and see what happens this fall. The Camry will be updated this fall to look more upscale, with Lexus like instrumentation(Optriton lighting, 17in wheels on SE, and rumor of 3.3L across the board, amoung many other things) Hopefully the ES will get the 3.5L next year with more options and standard features. I can definately see this happening because the Camry went through a total of 3 different V6 engine choices since 2002. (192hp V6, 210 VVT-i V6, and 3.3L 225hp VVT-i V6)Another rumor I heard was that Lexus is releasing the GS430 only, next spring because of problems with the V6. Hopefully to take care of the power issues. I"m glad that Toyota/Lexus is finally paying a lot of attention to the bland styling and power issues that they have, but my biggest concern is how in the hell are they going to market these cars? We have Camry XLE, Avalon, ES330, and GS300. All 4 of these cars are in the 30 grand territory. They are starting to look like Nissan and there mass confusion with the Altima 3.5SL and new Altima SE-R, Maxima, G35, and I35. I just dont understand it.

I agree, where does that leave the ES330. If the Avalon/ES cant share sales, Lexus will have to give the ES its own platform.
Clements did say all future Lexus cars will have an awd option.

WOW...so basically the new Avalon will be a V6 LS350.
More and more features that used to be reserved only for the premium marques are moving to maintream models. Fingerprint ignition, Dynamic Cruise Control, Reclining Rear Seats. I just hope it'll be RWD or even AWD, and there'll be absolutely no competition in sight for Toyota.

We see the same principle at Honda / Acura....the entry-level Acura TSX and RSX get only a four or turbo-four while the top-of -the-line Honda Accords get V6'es.
