I'd love to have a debadged s600, without sport package. IMO such a sleeper.
Sl600 looks just like Sl500, change one number and suprise ppl, making sub 4 0-60 runs.

"I think a Ferarri can be a sleeper also. From the outside, its just a normal Ferarri but inside the engine, the owner did something
Even an STi can be a sleeper. On the outside, looks like the normal STi but the modification might be Stage 4 or even 'Stage 10'

An S-Klasse is not a slow car. It does not look like a slow car. It looks like a big, meaty car that would eat the road for lunch. Same thing with the SL.
A car can only be a sleeper if it looks boring or if it looks like crap. The S/SL fit into neither of these categories. They can't be sleepers because they are formitable in most trim levels. Anything else is just icing on the cake. Like a 'Stage 10' Impreza. You know it's fast in stock form, so anything else, is, well...extra.

back in the day, there was a hyundai hatchback that weighed only 1500 pounds. The catch is however, is that it had the same motor mounts of that found on the 91 eclipse GST. 1500 pounds with a 2.2... 2.4(?) turbo charged. that's fast.

i'd have to say E55 as well!! you'd never expect from it's elegant lines and smooth contours what an absolutely savage wild animal lurks in that engine bay... and it's so comfortable and quiet (on the inside at least) with thick deep bucket seats that do a great job of supporting you
the newer cars are no doubt faster, but they don't have the sound and violence of an engine that's 5.4 liters and supercharged, nor do they have the excellent comfort
