Toyota MR-2 Turbo 97+

Are you talking about the 91-95 MR-2 Turbo? or a 00+ MR-2 that your planning on adding a aftermarket turbo?

Of all the cars on the list you mentioned, the SC would, if it is in good shape, probably be the most reliable of the bunch, but the MR2 Turbo would probably be worth the most later as a mid-engine classic. As with any previously-owned turbo car, try to get documentation of regular oil changes (this is even more important with a turbo than with normal aspiration) and, (if possible) try to contact the previous owner about his / her driving habits. With a turbo, you want to warm it up slowly at low RPM and keep the engine running for a minute or so before it is shut off to keep the oil pressure up while the turbo spools down. Not doing this can wear it out very quickly....and turbos are not known for long life even with good care.

The 3rd generation RX7 was only brought to the US 93-95.... for 96+, are you going to import a right-hand drive car? I say get a Supra. You've had fun with an SC already, it may be nice to drive a supra while they are still around.

I am torn between the SC and Supra, both excellent cars in their own if I had to choose one for me, I'd get a MkIV Supra. Depends on your attachment to the SC though.

Get the Supra. It has Lexus reliability and looks better than the other choices IMO. Its an amazing car and one of the few vehicles that turns my head when Im on the road. If theres any way possible get the turbo though..

So I guess nobody ever clarified on the existence of a 96+ RX7 or a 97+ MR2 Turbo?. . . at least not in the U.S.

I think the MR2 would be a really sweet choice. It's small, quick, and looks like a baby ferarri!! My younger bro has a 93(non-turbo) and it's sweet, but slow. The handling on his car is awsome!!! Plus it'll be cheaper to modify than any of the other cars from your list and I've always loved the MR2!!

You cannot find an RX7 after 1995 or an MR2 between 1996-1999 in the US.
If you go with either of these, be ready for maintenance nightmares

Out of those choices, Id pick the SC.

Default choice

I voted for the Supra...but only if you can find the right one. Three years ago before I got my sc, I tried to get a supra. People wanted crazy prices for examples not worth it. Too high milage, needed too much reconditioning...stuff like that. The supra is the only car I place above an sc...except for exotics of course...and even then.
