motor comparisons
in terms of power, response, weight, reliability, and potential, which motors would be at the top of the list? honda dohc vtec motors, 4g63, 2jzgte, ej20, rb26dett, koeniegegg motor?

I'm not sure if this matches one of your codes there, but of all the Honda engines, the 2.0 and 2.2L S2000 VTEC engine probably has the best potential and the best combination of the attributes you mention, particularly in a lighter car....but it has a very steep torque curve.

What about the 3UZ-FE (Lexus 430). Lightweight, of course reliable, up to 300hp, 325 lb ft torque, and not brutal on the gas mileage. Of course its not gonna be as powerful as a blown AMG V8 or LS1/6, but overall its pretty good in the NA segment. Doesn't have to be overrevved to reach its torque curve either.
