what would you rather have? c5 Z06, c6 vette, or 04 M3?

Your certainly in for a tough choice.
I've often thought about how I would choose
if I was fortunate enough to be in that situation.
I love the sleek stlying of the Corvette but in the
end I'd probably write the check out to the BMW
dealer. It's the perfect all around performance
machine and makes more practical sense.

thanks for your opinions. my trip to the chevy dealer pretty much ruled out the c5 z06. car is so long and big! plus i couldnt get past the interior. its even cheaper than my 350z. i know the c6 is gonna be a little smaller but why do those vettes look so big ?!?!
also managed to stop by the local bmw dealership. salesmen didnt even acknowledge me . guess i look too young. guess thats ok tho as i was just looking today. anyway, saw the 50k m3. didnt even have power seats or full leather. very nice interior otherwise though. plus id want the upgrade 19" wheels too. so it looks like its closer to 55k for the m3.
so i think im gonna wait til i see the c6 in person before i decide. the chevy dealer wanted a $1000 non-refundable deposit. said price would be at msrp but could only guarantee that if i signed today . whatever. dont think i wanna buy from them anyways with that kinda attitude. so the search continues...for now.

We've had both the Z-06 and an 03 M3 as project cars, and I must say, I'd have to go with the Z-06.
Drive a Z-06 and then drive an M3,
you'll see which car gives you a grin from ear to ear......

My vote goes for M3 as well, it's just a beautiful car.... as for the C6 vette, I wouldn't trust any first year production car, let alone a GM. My advice would be to drive them all and then decide, since you know what you like much better than we do. Good luck

Stock tires are 385mm
NSX-R is 255mm rear 215mm front only 280hp
Corvette Z06 is one of only a precious few cars to have broken the 8-minute barrier for lap times at Nurburgring.
The M3 is probably around 8:40, same as a 350Z Touring
I would imagine the C6 is around 8:30
CTS-V and GT3 time are correct
7:47 for the GT2
btw Ferrari tunes their cars at their Fiorano along with their F1 cars

Given these SPECIFIC choices on the list, I'd go with the CTS-V, especially if you are only going to keep it for its warranty period.......for several reasons. It would probably make the best daily driver. Cadillac dealers generally aren't as arrogant or overpriced as BMW and Porsche dealers are. Corvette insurance is hard to get and very expensive.....and wait till you see what a fiberglass body repair for a 'Vette costs. The CTS V's power-to-weight is about the same as the M cars....and its handling is almost in the same league. The CTS doesn't have the annoying I-Drive that the new M5 will have (and supposedly the next M3 will also have) . True, the CTS has not been reliable (the V model is still a question mark) , and the interior is second-rate, but that is a also a feature shared by several cars on this list.
If it were my money, though, I'd skip all of these cars in this price range and wait for the All-Wheel Drive Lexus GS.
