HIN Charlotte, June 12 - Pictures
It was a cool show, and I heard it was much bigger than the HIN folks planned (up to an hour wait in line for spectators just to get in). Lots of cars, but very few Lexus. I only counted four but I heard there were two more I couldn't ever find. Also found out (during awards) they didn't have a Lexus or even Toyota category at this show so none of us won anything. Oh well, still a good starter show for me. Talked to at least four other GS owners. There were three of us from our local Lexus/Toyota group (me, Chad with an IS300 and Will with a TRD supercharged Camry).
We had a LOT of people walking by our location and checking out the cars. Great spot right on the main show floor near the vendors. Clear view of the stage and the 'model' DJ and dancers. Right next door to Chad's IS is where a bevy of the HIN models decided to park and take pictures with the crowd for most of the night... I think he's going to get his chair bronzed.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not going to link them all here, just a few select ones... the rest of the pics you can see in my personal website gallery at:
http://www.somniplex.com/gallery/HINCharlotte2004
In the gallery you'll sometimes see two or three that appear to be the same - it's just me playing with various settings on my camera to figure out what's best, advantage of the 1gb memory card I got for my bday, lol. Didn't take the time to weed them out.
A few of my GS:
Aerial view using my monopod
No swirls
Reflection from the rope lighting next door and my JP tails (thanks CL!)
Day before the show, hood closed. Sporting the JP Fusa
Engine shot. Look closely you'll see some of my "in process" upgrades for my GS makeover
Another rear shot with JP tails and my ClubLexus / SELOC plate
Crowds around the car

Nos bottles in trunk, but not using them since he installed SRT turbo this week

Believe it or not, this car is a Chevy Cavalier. It won a LOT of awards, but not sure how it qualifies as an import... maybe it was made in Canada?
Nice turbo
NSX guy from VA Beach
That's all I'll post for now. Check out gallery if you want to see more.

Before:
After (looks like I missed a little up front):
I was very careful in the roll out to make sure it wore off in the parking lot before trying any accelleration or manuevers. Note I don't recommend this process to anyone as it can be potentially unsafe, but I have my comprehensive insurance paid in full and tried to take precautions to offset my recklessness .

Looking at that second picture of your GS, the rear tire certainly does look good completely covered. Just trying to makes things look too good, huh. That's one menacing GS

Dave, your GS was definitely an eye-catcher that day, no doubt. Great job on repping CL at HIN Charlotte.
I'm in awe of the mod list and pics of the supercharged Camry. It's one of the cleanest and tastefully modded Camry's I've seen

Thanks guys. Yep, I agree Will has one of the sickest sleepers out there. Very tastefully done.
