I signed up for the one at SF for myself and an MB fanatic friend of mine who never bothered to testdrive a "Toyota with leather" but is in the market for a new car.
Hopefully this's gonna convert him from the dark side....WAHAHA...

I went to the first Taste of Lexus Event a long time ago, when the GS400 debuted. The great thing about the Lexus event is that not only did they have the Lexus cars, but they also had Cadaliac, Chevy (for SUVs), Mercedes, Jag and others.
Plus even their outhouses are nice. haha They have sinks with running water. I'll be at the one on July 10th as well. Plus they have great food.

Have the folks in northern California received the official invite from Lexus for the Taste of Luxury event coming up in San Francisco this weekend (those who signed up)? It was supposed to have sent the invite out 2 weeks before the event.

went to the alameda one today
got there at about 9:30AM..but the lines were pretty light
the off road track for the SUVs were pretty nice
haha...got to play in the mud a little when they water down the course
the sport sedan lines were hella long though, they should have split it and made 2 courses for them.
but all in all it was a fun day
haha..didnt leave until about 4:30
lunch was pretty good, but it was more of a snack than a meal
i hope everyone else that went had fun too

I too went to the event, i saw the trend too late to register but i live in Alameda so me and my dad just went in on sunday morning and they let us in with no problems. Just tell the person at th gate ure here for the Lexus event. Me and my dad have been to plenty of these events, often we drive by alameda point and see signs and just follow them, sometimes they'll have more than one company doing test drives in one weekend. We walked in the tent and they asked us to sign the wavier forms, which we did. They asked for our IDs, My dad gave them his and i gave them my 18 year old ID. They took down the info, took longer b/c they had to enter all our info b/c we wern't pre-registered. Then they handed us two identical badges with our names. The guy didn't say anything about how i wasn't old enough to drive and everything he gave me looked the same as my dad, so i just went for it. The people were real cool nobody said anything. Had a great time. So for those of you that live near the other event sites and havn't registered, i suggest just going over and trying to see if they will let u in, They were really cool about everything for us. Best of luck.
