Audi Launches RS6 with Extra Zest
4/16/2004 -- quattro GmbH has launched an ultimate sports version of the RS6, known as the RS6 plus, equipped with features echoing the world of motor sport, as well as new colour concepts, and now developing 480 bhp.
With an output of 480 bhp, the RS6 plus generates 30 bhp more than the standard Audi RS6 version. The peak torque of 413 lb-ft is achieved across a range that now extends from 1950 rpm all the way up to 6000 rpm – in other words, the engine speed range across which this enormous traction is now available has been increased by a further 400 rpm.
The secret to this optimised performance is a new engine control unit. In order to maintain stable thermal conditions in the light of its uprated performance, the technical specialists from quattro GmbH have positioned two additional radiators behind the intercoolers.
The road performance is unequalled by any other model in the field of competitors. A mere 4.6 seconds elapse for the standard discipline of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h. The Audi RS6 plus hits 200 km/h in just 17.3 seconds.

I'm sorry... but the RS6 wagon looks better.
the MB front end doesn't fit with the rest of the car. Notice how low the hood is, then all of a sudden, the rest of the car shoots up another 3 feet and stays there.
Audi pulls of the station wagon look better than BMW or MB IMO.
the profile of the audi is more more proportional, with the rear door, and hatch lines angled forward giving a definate rear to the car. The MB seems to just end... almost like the designers got tired by the time they got the rear hatch.

the roof rails stick out like a set of eyebrows that are in desperate need of a trim on the MB as well.
The audi has more aggresive fender flares, with a slightly more pronounced rear spoiler which helps to set off the rear end as well. Even the antenna carries on with audi's typical theme.
The MB's rear bumper seems too lifted in proportion to the side skirts, while the Audi mantains smoother lines with a quieter wrap around bumper.
and I keep coming back to the small front end that doesn't fit the rest of the car.
all though I'm guessing you're partial to MB, I give the Audi

I didn't even realize that MB had a e55 station wagon. WOW!
I like both. Or should I say i would not turn down either one.
Now is BMW going to make another 545 station wagon or even an M5 Station wagon?

Wow...Audis are the only wagons I would ever own. Even the Dodge Magnum doesn't do it for me. The last gen S4 and RS6 wagons are both soooo hot. Would be awesome cars to take up to the slopes.

Damn though a wagon that does 0-60 in 4.5 seconds or so! So i guess this mean I dont have to worry about getting older and needing more space eh??

"Because he has no life and loves a stupid car, thats why baby" LOL
