I didnt test drive it but my friend let me drive (actually I forced him
) his 03, I think, S600. That is one smooth car to be in
Its bone stock and he is going to keep it that way

As a free-lance auto consultant, I test-drive a lot of cars for a lot of people when I help them shop....mainly to evaluate them and check for defects before delivery. Nicest ? .....from a sporting view, the two blue-with white-stripes Viper GTS coupes I set up a deal on back in 1997 for a friend of mine ...he was part-owner of an exotic car-rental business. They both had humongous torque, but the ride was too stiff for my tastes....and the quality was second-rate....a typical Chrysler product of the time.
From a comfort point of view, I think the nicest car I ever test-drove was a huge 1969 Lincoln Continental ( my dad worked for Philco-Ford back then ). That car had an INCREDIBLE ride, and was QUIET. I've never seen its equal even to this day...even in limos...though the Lexus LS430 comes close.

Damn SoCalSC4, they wouldn't happen to be hiring at your work, would they?
I'd have to say the nicest car I've test-driven would have to be the W12 Phaeton. Spent 24 hrs. with that car and couldn't find a single fault with it. Now if only I could find someone to finance me. I've also driven an 03 SL500, but that was my girlfriend's so that doesn't count.
It was nice, but it honestly kinda let me down. The "sport" factor wasn't as high as I expected, and it was kind of discouraging when small things wouldn't work on that brand new Benz.
