Alright, as most of you already know I recently purchased a fellow CL member's sweet SC GS400. The past few days I've been running around trying to get everything done in order to get the car registered here in GA. (emissions, GA. drivers lic, etc.). So the past several days I've been driving the car around with no tags and just keeping the shipping records and bill of sale in the glove box just in case I happened to get pulled by the police- knowing that I have a 30 day grace period. Anyhow, so I'm cruising home this afternoon from getting my emissions done- windows down, sunroof open, music pumping and I notice a couple of cars ahead in the left lane happens to be a Cobb County traffic enforcement officer in his beefed up unmarked camaro. So i'm rolling the speed limit at 40mph and he happens to be cruising a little slower, so not to be obvious, I keep my pace thinking to myself "Be cool...I'm not doing anything wrong, I have proper documentation- what am I worried about?" So I slowly creep by him and now he's riding behind me but keeping his lane. So I'm just waiting for him to pull in behind me and hit the lights- I just knew it was coming. Well we cruise for about 1/2 mile and start to approach an intersection and the light is turning red and I'm like "Damn, just my luck!" So I stop and he stops beside me and I see his passenger window coming down and I look over and he says to me..."That's a beautiful car, but where's your tag?" So I tell him the car is new and I'm getting everything done this week and he says, "Ok, just know you will likely get pulled over and questioned- just so that you know. But yeah that's a very nice ride." At that moment the lights turn green and the next thing I know he stomps on it- gunning it out of the light! And all I could do was shake my head in disbelief, smile to myself and say "that bastard"...You guys don't know how close I was to punching it just to get up to the speed limit because he did seem cool and I thought maybe he would appreciate it and get a kick out of it, but then reality sunk in and told me- hell no, he could be a **** for all I know and end up giving me a ticket!! Damn- I got PUNKED!
