Um...the line at the bottom of the last pic in the first post actually reads (in Chinese of course) "repairing the car costs 3 million Taiwan dollars (roughly US$100k)".

Idiot. If they repair it, it may look like new, but the ridgidity of the car has been completely compromised and it will never drive the same. Additionally, if he gets into another crash, which is likely, the structure will probably fail completely, resulting in serious injury or death.
