Thanks for the input so far...

The SC: i can't seem to find any in my area in my pricerange, i've tried to look for one the first time i decided to start to look for one but sadly i can't seem to find one. I'll probably look a little more into it and hopefully find one.

Scion TC: I think they base price at 16? Maybe i can borrow 2 from my parents but that really is just base but i think it has a good list of standard features.

Camry: don't know if i would really want to drive a camry around

Accord (98-02): bad trannys

i'm still thinkin

Thumbs down No, not the TC

No.......14K won't cut it with a TC. TC's start at $16,495. And, like Saturns, all Scions sell for full list, with no markups or discounts....that is their policy. So, by the time you figure tax, tags, etc......you're out the door at 17-18K minimum. And, of course, more than that if you want the $3000 TRD supercharger.

Yeah, the All-Wheel-Drive Mazda 323 GTX was a nice car but they are hard to find today....and most will be WELL-worn. Even back in 1988-89 when they were first brought into the U.S. market they were few and far between.

If you are willing to travel you can always find 1 or 2 nice ones for ~$5k.

I think those cars are hillarious, and spare motor parts are everywhere because it is basically a miata motor with a turbo

You could always just get a used 92-96 Civic or any year Corolla. You won't have to worry about gas because both have 4 cylinders and they are known for reliability. You can drive it in the snow because its FWD. You won't have to worry about where to park because it's a beater so who cares about door dings. You don't have to worry about it getting stolen unless you mod it. And you'll also save some money as well because they can be had for relatively cheap.

They're pretty ugly, but AWD and turbo = cheap fun, and great for a daily. 1.6l engine = good gas mileage, and the fact that it was made in the 80s means you can probably run crap gas in it and save money there too

No...the Mazda 323 converted over from carburation to fuel injection in 1986, so you can't use garbage fuel....it has to have enough detergent in it to keep the injectors clean. It is either that or periodically dump in a can of BG44K fuel system cleaner..so you don't really end up saving any money either.
And...I don't remember for sure, but I think that turbo 1.6 needed 93 octane.

Nice car....this was back before Nissan started cheapening its interiors. The 3.0 L V6 is well-designed, powerful, and will last a long time is cared for properly. If you want the same car with an even nicer interior, look at the Infiniti I30. Infinitis traditionally have had a high depreciation rate (though the G35's popularity may change that) , and there are a lot of good deals on used ones.
