Love the liscense plate I probably wouldn't notice if there wasn't the GS300 writing on the back.

I agree. It looks very similar to a stock 300ZX, IMO. Same light scheme.

I usually don't take a liking to conversions, but I must admit that this conversion looks pretty ok.

I gotta agree with all of u guys, this actually doesn't look that bad. Now if only he could get rid of the GS300 wording there and it would be perfect IMO.

hmmmmmm. not a bad match at all. How does someone come up with an idea like this anyway? With as many vehicles as there are on the road to choose parts from?? Woncer if this person considered numerous vehicle rears before choosing this one?

I guess if you try to analyze the thought process that this guy went through it does not seem so absurd after a while.

Consider this, I really like the turn signal indicators in the 04 MB E-class and would like to custom mod my mirrors to do that some day. I can just see some MB owner taking a pic of my car and saying I am a MB-wannabe. Same reaction some of us would have seeing this 300ZX. However in doing the turn signal mod I am definitely not trying to convert my car to an MB, I just love the signals in the mirror and I can justify it in a number of ways:

1. Safety and functionality - our stock turn signals are very small and not visible enough
2. "Cool" mod

I am sure I could come up with others given some more time, but when I look at this 300ZX, I said to myself, what was the functional usefulness of this mod? I don't see it, so to me he appears to be a 1st gen GS wannabe...........

Is it just me or does anyone else feel the same way?

Up close you'd probably notice some things that the picture doesn't really reveal. My guess is that this guy isn't pouring his savings into the car - he just sorta added the rear on a whim (based on the fact that he didn't clear the GS markings, stupid stainless gas cap - can we say Eclipse?, and the paint looks terrible). Additions on a whim + limited budget = fitment issues.

I don't really like it - but I agree that it's not that bad, all things considered.
