Iceman the average Corvette owner is not what you think. Just goes to show your intelligence.
I have three friends who own Vettes
Pilot who flys a jet for Warren Buffet
MIT grad who works for Bell labs
MD with two board certifications
I hope you never go to a Corvette meet you may get your a$$ kicked

Corvette Demographic
When I think of Corvette, I think of "clueless blue/grey-collar middle-aged cheesey white guy with a little money trying to be cool and young-again playing old bad rock & roll music dream car."
Some great pics:

As a kid, I got 4 tickets for driving 100+. I'm glad it happened before the laws got tougher. Fortunately, in those days you could pay theticket right there on the spot and I was fortunate to have parents who kept money in my pocket. These tickets cost over $100. One was almost $200...I was going about 115 mph on that one. In case you're wondering when I was a kid, I'm talking college in the late 70's early 80's. I still drive fast on the highway but not for extended periods. I'll hit 100 then back off. If I had a vette or engine mods, I'd be in jail. This is the main reason why I'm happy with stock motor, I don't trust myself.
