thatt was awesome. He made those cops look pretty stupid for a while there. What kind of mustang was he driving to get tracked down like that by the police?? It had to be the 6-cyl.

Why do people try to run from the cops. It's not the best idea. They allmost always get caught, like 99% of the time.

and you damn sure ain't outrunning a helicopter...the ONLY way to escape the cops is if you're on a motorcycle and able to go into some sort of underground parking structure that leads to a mall where you can blend in...trust me, I've already been there...

And Eric, those Crown Victoria's are usually supercharged...they WILL catch up to you unless you're in something special.

There was one really old episode of COPs where the guy made it to the Mexican boarder and he hops the fence!

I was like "YEH, You go!"

but that's he only time they ever showed someone getting away.
I think the cops were pissed that they looked stupid after that chase (they also had 2 HELICOPTERS!)

granted the number is slim, but prolly 1 in 100 people get away.
some areas have "NO CHASE" policies, cause the cops caused too many accidents by chasing.....

That guy definitely knew how to recover from a spin. For awhile, that was some impressive driving. Next time, he should steal a faster car. Shoulda passed up the Mustang LX and went for the Cobra. With more power, he probably could have out driven the cops.....at least the ones in cars. Did you notice the guy in the news room laughing every time the cops blew the spin and pin maneuver?

The cops in those pursuing Crown Vics must have been alone.....otherwise the obvious thing to do would have been for somebody to shoot out his tires.

Another interesting question this video doesn't cover is WHY did he steal the car?

Should have stolen a Cobra? I hope you're kidding...I trust that you are. Let's not encourage even more car thefts...it's bad enough he stole THIS car.

These kinds of scenes are not that unusual....in fact, there is a TV show that films nothing BUT these types of chases. And.....I'm not exaggerating on this one...I've noticed that the Mustang, especially the V8 versions, is a car that seems to be addicting to aggresssive drivers. Wild rides and spectacular accidents with young kids and Mustang GT's and Cobras are legion in this area. I've seen literally dozens of kids lose their lives around here in Mustangs...and even more do crazy things and survive them.

That was pretty good driving recovering from 2 "pit maneuvers".

I've riden in patrol cars for a couple of times (luckily I was always in the front seat ) and I don't think these cars are supercharged.

Other than the intensified bumper, radio, and internal wires along with the strobe lights and other police equipments, the motor is not significantly modified from the stock version.
