Yup. And I wouldn't be surprised if they've used leaf springs in all of their cars since 1953. They've certainly been around that long. There has to be some reason to why they would do this other than to save R&D costs, because they upgraded so much for the C6.

I really am surprised how harsh they were about this car. Yes, I like it, but all the other reviews I have read were very good. Not making excuses, but they are often harsh on Americans in many of their shows, and maybe they're just so used to driving TVRs, Ferraris, Aston Martins etc. The Vette really doesn't compare to those cars. Americans really do have to get crackin' on interiors and build quality though...the plastic looks like it's always gonna be a problem in American interiors. I just don't understand how hard it would be for GM to buy any European/Japanese luxury car, look at it, at least use the same quality materials, and build something you could look at and be pleased about.![Confused](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)

The C6 is 10th and looking at who it lost too, competition 5 some almost 10 times more, I think it speaks for itself. Badass car and 2 thumbs up to GM.

It beat the superhandling Lotus, which I think is a pretty good accomplishment. Oh, and all of GMs research did pay off in the handling dept. They worked very hard for good marks in that category.

I watch as much Top Gear as I can, but all the ones I ever find are ***** out sports cars, usually capable of whooping on the Vette. I don't wanna sound like some good ol' boy that'll go to the end of the earth to defend my domestic, but it might just be how I'm perceiving it all. BTW, where CAN you find episodes of Top Gear to watch? Just DL as many as possible or what? They make a lot of American cracks, like on the Lotus Exige with the Apache chopper trying to lock it down..."we locked on but didn't shoot it cuz unlike Americans, we don't shoot our own troops" or something like that.
I agree that Clarkson, Stig and the "other dude"
know their stuff and can drive extremely well, but I guess they're just a little more opinionated and emotional about the ups and downs of cars they test. Best of all about that show, it is quite entertaining.

I'm running a Mac, so would it even be worth searching for or would it be outta the question? Oh, and another Q...why do the Top Gear guys use MPH, rather than km/h? Are they changing in Europe, or is that the more acceptable way nowadays?

Plus it's still a LHD car, possibly just an American spec. car shipped there for the test ?

Is it MPH in britain??? I figured it was km/h in most other places around the world. I know when people talk about km I have no clue how to compare really, so I figure the Brit crowd would get kinda upset about that.
