If money was not an issue and you decided to paint your car a custom color, what color would you pick? Just pretend you are spending someone else's money, (and no, I did not win the lottery, I just want to get other folks thoughts on a custom color choice)

Note (money no object, but we just want to talk about painting your car a new color )

I want nothing that's very special, but I wish I can have my G35 coupe in Twilight Amethyst Pearl, the same color as my SC430.

I guess I'm in the minority who love the noble yet mystic feel of the Amethyst Violet light purplish metalic color offered by MB because they don't seem to be offering the color anymore. It is one color I could not get my eyes off when I saw one roll by in person.

My top ten favorites...in descending order.

1. Amythist ( medium purple-gray )
2. Lime Green
3. Sunset Burnt Orange
4. Violet Purple
5. Electric Blue
6. Chrome Yellow
7. Pearl Oyster White
8. Black Cherry...a very dark reddish-purple
9. Candy Apple Red
10. Copper

As you can see......I don't go for " me too " everyday colors. I think the factory color choices on many cars suck....especially on traditional luxury cars like the LS430, Q45, Lincoln Town Car, etc....

Thanks. The average car brochure has the same old stuff over and over.......white, black, silver, burgundy, dark blue, dark green, and beige. That stuff is definitely not for me...apparantly not for you either.

Well u know I got to go with some form of white. On a special edition 993 Porsche, there is a color called Pearlessence. It's a Pearl Frost white with a very small hint of blue. I'll have to show you a picture as one day I WILL paint some car this color. My favorite car color bar-none.

2nd GGP (Graphite Gray) which I thought was reserved for expensive cars but I swear I just saw an Altima with that color....

3rd Benz silvers. They do silver like no other. And have so many shades. Great palette to choose from, especially the Designo colors.

Benz Designo Silver has a greenish tint, I'll pick it over their brilliant silver. I also saw a SL55 in Diamond silver(bluish), looks real sharp

I saw one in Buckhead last night. A SL 55 with a dark gray with a hint of Chocolate. Absolutely stunning with the saddle seats. Some great colors.....

I'll agree, 1SICK....Pearl White is one of my top 10 favorites. It was a color perfected by several companies....notably Audi, Cadillac, and Infiniti.
And, while I am not a silver fan, you are correct that M-B does it like no other. Their classic silver is so bright that it almost looks like chrome. There's a reason for that......silver is M-B's classic color, going back continuously many decades to the 40's and 50's. The famous gull-wing 190 and 300SL's that so many car collectors drool over are valued most in silver....with red interiors.
