Agreed. Some designs are best left untouched. The styling of the G-Class is old but absolutely classic. And that classic look is really what sells the G-Class.

Keep in mind this is still a photoshop, although the basic body is similar to the cladded spy shots.

although I am often critical of new designs, I gotta agree here. This is not a ugly design, IMHO...certainly not in the Chris Bangle class. In fact, it doesn't look a whole lot different from the last M-class.
What has been ugly about the M-class is not its looks but the way it falls apart after delivery.

Well-said, though I must say that I, too, prefer the current G-waggy - it's classic; the new design, if the posted photo is an accurate representation of the next G, is hideous to me.

And if they stop hand-building them in Graz, Austria ... moving production to Alabama - all is lost.
