I got to see a Carrera GT up close today
VERY cool car. Hendrick Porsche (same guys that own the Lexus dealer) were showing the new 2005 Carrera S off, and my buddy with a GT3 said he heard rumors they also had a Carrera GT that they were going to roll out... and he was RIGHT.
I went once with my buddy, then had to leave and pick up my girlfriend from the airport and it was such a cool car that we came back and it was still out. Later in the evening there were a lot fewer people around it and they had a little raffle and I had the car to myself (no, the keys weren't in it).
There is so much carbon fiber in this thing (most of the car is made from two CF tubs) and lots of cool little touches. Best thing I've seen all week

Awesome pics Dave!!!! I know what car I would buy if I won the lottery today! My fantasy car is this Carerra GT for sure! 
I also like the new 997 you have in your album. The interior looks so much better than the 996's.

great pics... my local dealer has sold a few Carrera GTs already in Palm Beach FL. I went to turn in my leased audi and they had one in the showroom roped up with velvet museum ropes. Your right about the carbon fiber the only thing that wasn't was the shift ****. If I can have any car it would mos def be a Carrera GT
