New engine choices for 2005 Toyota truck lineup

Toyota is updating its truck engine lineup for 2005 by finally dumping the 3.4 liter 190 hp V6, and bringing the 4.7 liter V8 more in line with competing engines.
The V6 is being replaced across the board by the 4.0 liter VVT-i V6 that was introduced in the 2003 4Runner which puts out 245 hp and 282 lb/ft of torque. It will be mated to either a 5-speed automatic or 6-speed manual, instead of the current 4-speed which is in the 4Runner.
The 4.7 liter V8 is being reworked pretty extensively including the addition of VVT-i which brings output up from 235 hp and 315 lb/ft of torque to 282 hp and 325 lb/ft. It will be coupled to a 5-speed automatic.
The Tacoma is switching over to a totally new model for 2005. Engine choices will be some kind of large-ish 4-cylinder that has yet to be announced, and the 4.0 liter V6.
The Tundra gets a minor facelift, and engine choices become the 4.0 liter V6 and VVT-i version of the 4.7 liter V8.
The 4Runner (which already had the 4.0 liter V6) switches over to the 5-speed auto, and also has the VVT-i V8 available.
The Sequoia comes standard with the 4.7 VVT-i, gets a minor facelift, and has a few features added.
We haven't gotten official word about the Land Cruiser, but it would stand to reason that it too will receive the VVT-i 4.7.
