I'd probably stay away from it especially if it has a salvage title.
However if the price was closer to $20K and then I would consider it under some written provisions from the dealership
1) That the full manufacturer's warranty still applies w/ no exceptions.
2) They will guarantee all repairs for as long as you own the car.
3) They will give you a 30 day trial period after which point you can return the car and put your money towards the purchase of another one if you don't like it.
4) They will give you full (fair) market value on a trade-in in the future should you decide to upgrade or trade to a different car.

seems like it would have a clear title? i dont think 7k in damage isnt enough to salvage a brand new car...so assuming a clear title...
things to consider:
find out exactly what was fixed... if there is frame damage, i would tend to stay away from it.
were all damaged body panels replaced with factory parts? if some panels were just popped/ repainted i would stay away as well. repainted parts tend to chip....
closely look at the alignment of the body panels... make sure theyre all straight...
look at the paint and make sure its matched well...
if all seems well it might be a good buy i suppose...

Man... 7k in damage is NOTHING. The parts are quite expensive, considering its a Lexus. Labor is extremely expensive for paint related repairs as well. Id say, if it has a clean title, and you get the normal Lexus warranty (in writing), go for it. Certainly try to talk them down, but i still think its a good deal. Hell, ive personally done 15k+ worth of work to cars with less than 5k miles on them, and the parts replaced werent that extensive, and once replaced, the car was perfect again. Dont be scared away from a car that has been damaged... if the title is clean, and the work was done properly, and is backed up by the body shop and dealership, whats there to worry about? Go for it!
