Before you buy your next car...read this
Here is an article that I found really helpful. Read the entire article when you have time. Its long but good reading. It outlines the games and tactics used by car salesmen.
Knowledge is power, so equip yourself with all the facts the next time you plan on buying a car.

I read that article before.
I found it very interesting and funny.
"Up to?"
But I found it very helpful. My Lexus dealer in NYC was presuring me to have the extended warrenty on a 2004 GS300. I declined.
A few years later, I will sell my GS for "$24,667.86"

I read the article. It's obvious this guy ended up at a Saturn shop.....though he didn't actually tell us that.
Where he first started out .....the '" Japanese " dealership...is less clear but appears to have been a Toyota shop.
This kind of pressure and deception is becoming less and less common at dealerships today, though there are still a few in my area that tend to operate this way. I tell any potential car buyers I advise to avoid any places I know still operate this way....and if I shop with them i won't take them there myself.

//// people can lose a lot of money by making the wrong choice when buying a car. This is a serious decision for the average household budget////
was reading that edmond post on cl. man, so america's just like taiwan isn't it? i always thought it's so so so much easier to buy a car here as it is in taiwan. but what i realized just seconds ago is that it really can impact a family dramtically, as i've recently experienced.

Good article. However, it doesn't change my impression that most car salesmen and sales managers are evil and scum of the scum.

my friend told me that when u see a customer waiting in line and being rude to the poor cashier, chances are, that the customer has never been a sales in her or his life. why? because they've never use the skill sets that require to win ppl's enthusiastic cooperation. an example comes to mind would be my own family memebers. some of them have been in either adminstration positions or military systems, and sometimes they wouldn't try their best to think in terms of the other person's interest or dignity.
that being said, i'm not saying u r as rude as my aunties or uncles
