Yeah it's cool, and a pretty decent value, but Chevy needs to remove head from their dark hole and realize the roots of the SS badging. The 409, the 396, the 454...Come on, the Camaro SS worked, but now the only SS models are 2 supercharged FWD cars, auto only, and a V8 truck thingy that's slower than a 12 year old Lexus. This Cobalt will be supercharged, 4 banger, FWD, blah blah blah, so in terms of what it is and it's competition, it gets a half way thumbs up. For the SS badging and the supposed "history", I couldn't make a bigger thumbs down. Disgusting.

On any forced induction car, premium gas is usually better because a higher octane is less likely to detonate under higher pressures. That's why you see race cars running over 100 octane. I probably would, just in case because detonation os the enemy.

Don't forget about the Silverado SS, 0-60 in 6.6, 14.99 quarter, not bad for a pickup.

Oh I'm all about the Silverado, I was just listing the *******y ones. I tried my hardest to get my dad to get one but we still needed an SUV as a people carrier. A 6L V8 is very SS if you ask me, and very good for an NA truck (no Ram SRT-10 though). I just think they're trying to take advantage of buyers with fancy stickers and cool names like the IROCs and other crappy cars of the 70s and 80s.

More GM Junk
Chevy never made a decent small car, except the Nova which was a re-badged Toyota.
I bought a new Cavilear and Beretta and they were 2 of the worst cars I ever owned.
GM doesn't understand what it takes to copy an Asian import. Just look at their Camry killer, the Malibu!
ha ha ha ha
Chevy DOES know how to make powwerful V8s, but they don't last real long
