i partly agree, they WILL do it if there is a reason to, like if someone was bragging about their car, being a jerk, etc, but i know that 99% of hs kids wouldn't do it if they have no beef w/ someone other than they are just a little jealous, jus my .02

Kind of late on this thread, but my advice is enjoy the car. Certainly a high school parking lot is a hot zone for vandalism, so you chances are greater than average that your car will see some damage. Couldn't you adjust the car's insurance so the deductable for comprehensive is very low? That way if you get keyed or whatever you'd be covered for any repair needed. Granted, any claim on insurance will raise rates, but a comprehensive claim on what is probably your parents mulit-car + home insurance policy should be minor.

Just a thought. Congrat's on the school's love towards your ride

before my es was in the shop, kids at my school didnt even touch my car. they 've keyed alot of dude's trucks becus it was bigger than the rest (like they give a crap anyways, too much trail abuse on the body anyways) and chicks have gotten their new cars or suv's keyed becus it was newer than someone elses. whenever i hear of something like this happening, i think its immature and stupid. suprisingliy, ive never had a person even think of doing something to my car.. maybe becus their are wussies or afraid of me.

Default Not a problem when I was in HS . . .

Funny, I never had a problem with someone keying my ride when I was in high school . . . just tied my velociraptor out front and went to class.

Hint- if you don't feed 'em for a couple of days, they don't need an expensive alarm system.

Nah, when the little beast was hungry, he got kinda irratable . . . About the size of a good
sportbike, he was sorta cantankerous and he sure didn't think much of vandals, but the
few that tried to key him sure saved me money on feed. Once I got him halter-broke he was
pretty sporty transportation - of course that was long before emissions controls.

Here's an old picture of my ride:

- you gotta understand I was in high school quite a few years ago.

I just talked to a HS buddy of mine who takes his M3 to college. People randomly key it, nobody messed with his car when we were in high school.
