Sorry, but the SC isn't small. Now a MR2 is, so is a Del Sol, but an SC, no way!

Yesterday my uncle rolled his X5 and he was fine thank God. My mom broke down and told me she really did not want me driving something so small. I've considered certain SUVs, trucks, everything and I would like to get some more opinions from you guys who love to talk about cars. I can always suggest cars for others, but it's always hard to choose for yourself.
After selling the SC, and saving up some, our budget will be about $20,000

Headroom is not the only issue. His mom doesnt want him driving such a small car. Thats why he cant just change the seats.

Sorry for my ignorance
I know that James said he was a little uncomfortable driving that car because of the headroom, hence the suggestion for the seats. I think that selling the SC and buying something else because his mother has misconceptions that the SC is an unsafe car is the wrong move.
James, if I were in your shoes, I would sit my mother down and explain to her that the SC is an extremely safe car, and she has nothing to worry about. Just my 2 cents
Good luck with whatever you end up doing, though

I agree with the other posters....stay away from sunroofs if you are tall. In all but rare cases, they rob on the average about an inch and a half of headroom with the panel closed.
The Lexus ES300 is better than average in this area....with the driver's seat all the way down, I'm 6' 2" and can sit in it with a baseball cap....just barely. Most cars you can't.

jet, I found the perfect car for you AND its within your price range(not $100,000 ). It's $17.5k and has more headroom than all the other cars mentioned. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...490004069&rd=1
ps you may have to take some tests and upgrade your license though
