email received from Mazda today...
Here it is. You're now among the first to feast your eyes on the new MAZDASPEED6. If you didn't see its World Debut at the Paris Motor Show on September 23, 2004, we thought you might like to take a look.

Look behind the 18" wheels and you'll discover Active Torque Split All-Wheel Drive. Look inside and you can just see yourself - your hand on the 6-speed manual gearshift, your face in a permanent grin.

Awesome.
If I was in the market for a really fun low-profile daily driver - I would look at two cars.
The first on the list remains the Subaru Legacy 2.5GT
The second is now the MazdaSpeed 6 ... 274 hp & 280 torque
Really really neat ... Mazda does their performance cars up right.

And I really like the interior of the Mazda6 (one of the best for the cash if you ask me):

Maybe a WRX/SRT-4 competitor, but I'm not sure if I like or dislike how closely it is visually to the normal six. I'm sure it will be a fairly well built car with Mazda's renowned "fun to drive" personality.

I think this car is hot and incredible. What a great move by Mazda. I can actually feel the zoom, zoom. They have some great products inside and out and I hope much success for this way of thinking. I hope the quality is there.
Please be under 30k! This makes the Altima SE-R look like some posuer crap.

[QUOTE=DownUnder]I think it's a sweet looking car. So far they say it will have 274HP and 280ft-lbs of torque 2.3L turbo 4cyl, active torque spilt AWD system, LSD, and 6MT.

Awesome! Definately another bang for your buck mobile. Mazda is really stepping it up.
I believe this car would look best in black. Light colors don't really fit its lines in my opinion.
