Thumbs up Check out the mileage on this Merc!

This 1976 Mercedes 240D did over 4.6 million km in 28 years as a cab in Germany (first 5 years) and then in Greece!

I guess they do not build cars like these any more ...

It's saddening to see that car with so many miles and probably so little problems while the new merc's have more ghosts than Elvis sightings.

My family had one of these Benz when I was a kid Same body style, but a 250 gasoline engine.

Damn, those old diesel MBs were ALL THAT. I love watching '80s movies just to see them in all their original splendor.

Up through the late '80s, something like 75% of all MBs sold in USA were diesel. Until this year, that percentage had dropped to 0.

They should have stuck with their old plan...

I wonder how many times they rebuilt the engine and tranny?
I think if you really really wanted to and had the funds to back it up, you could make any car go that far.
