Also consider that it is getting harder and harder to come up with original new designs. There are so many different vehicles today, and so many different designs that they use (or have used) , that no matter what you design and how you design it, you're likely to be copying somebody, somewhere.

Not to sound rude or anything like that. Just my humble opinion..........

I don't understand why anyone would get worked up about something like this. Does it really matter if company A has copied company B's design???? I seriously doubt that.

What matters is if you like Company A's or Company B's product. Why should it matter at all if a design is copied or is "original"? I personally don't think it matters even one iota. The bottom line is that design is subjective and what really matters is if something looks good and you like it. If you like it, that's all that matters.

I love the 2nd gen GS's design. It is a classic and will always look beautiful. Some say that Lexus copied the 96 E-class front end and made it look sporty. Who cares????!!!!! I certainly don't. Why? IT DOES NOT MATTER FOLKS!!!!.

This why I don't understand why people say that the 2006 GS looks like a 2004 Maxima or the Altima looks like a GS. I don't care. Period. Do you like a particular car or not? It's as simple as that.

I agree in principle that in general it is not a big deal, but it CAN be if one company copies something either in design or equipment that is patented. Then you get lawyers involved and it can end up in court.

I like Buick. And this one is nicely done. I used to have a regal LS and it was extremely smooth and trouble free. You guys can say what you want. But Buick has a great costumer base and they are good at what they do. A very plush ride with a cheap price.

Everyone here knows Lexus loved to benchmark MB during the past decade.

I'm not worked up that Buick is borrowing cues from Lexus or anything.
If you are going to do it, at least do a proper job.
The older Buicks look much better, IMO.

GM should build more competetive cars.
I'd like to see a domestic stand up to Toyota for a change.
