New GS(Flint Mica) Spotted at Nürburgring!
I thought it was just Avalon looking headlights, but it more looks like an Avalon looking frontend to me!! IMO.
The "theme" of the GS is dual oval/round-ish headlights...........so, where did this design come from???
Maybe with enough attention to lagging sales, Lexus might be "forced" to freshen up the GS in no time like that of the BMW 7 series with the dreaded i-Drive & duck tail.
~ With all that said, do you think you GS guys will upgrade to this model anytime soon? ~

Still undecided on this one though.

For those people criticizing the GS, calling it an Avalon, Altima, Maxima, etc. PLEASE wait till you see the car in person, i was saying the same thing before i saw it.
This car has MAJOR presence and looks nothing like those cars. I got the chance to see all the new midsize luxury sedans in person at last year's NY auto show, including M45 concept, RL concept, new STS, new A6, new 5 series. IMO the new GS has better styling than all of those cars and should age just as gracefully as the current GS has.
M35/45 - Its ok, i personally dont like it......The interior is NICE though.
RL - Looks like a long wheel base Accord with diff headlights and taillights. Just based on styling i would never even consider purchasing this car.
STS - Nice car overall.....interior is CRAP.
A6 - Has the LOWEST styling presence of all these cars. NOBODY stopped to look at it. I wish it looked more like the A8.
5 Series - Its just UGLY inside and out....i really want to like this car but it hasnt happened. I drove this car and the engine and suspension are SWEET, looks and electronics suck.
The thing that really got my attention is when i compared the new GS to the current GS in STOCK form side by side in person. The current GS's styling looked outdated and it was just overshadowed by the new GS. This is coming from a person who loved the GS from day 1 and i still think its one of the best looking cars on the road almost EIGHT years since it was first introduced.
With the right mods, such as grille, front lip, drop, wheels, etc the NEW GS will look

That's the point......it looks like it needs the mods to look good. But you're right, we'll wait until we see it. For me, I want to like it. Heck, I've been trying for two years to like the SC430. It's getting there....I think. I want to like the GS. I just don't think Lexus ought to be making us try so hard to like it.
