You said it. That thing looks like they put the current GS on steroids, and washed 'em down with protein shakes. Hopefully the numbers it throws down will match the aggressive styling.

Well, I'm going to disagree with you guys and say I am not feeling it....yet. Looks like an Avalon on steroids to me. It's not ugly at all. Just not what I expected from the next evolution of the most popular Lexus car (correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it has the highest sales rate. Certainly see more of em than any other Lexus). If it doesn't grow on me that's okay. I'll be happy to continue admiring the current gs.

No offense..but yea, I'm not feeling it either. It is honda-ishque w/ design cues from the Avalon *sigh*. I would expect a bit more panache from Lexus.
Btw whats up with that *** n that thing?!?

Lexus has been able to either equal or surpass MB & BMW in the entry lux. class(ES + IS) & the premium lux. class((LS) in sedans sales, & I was hoping the new GS will help them make some in-roads, but from what I've seen & heard of it so far, the new GS doesn't appear to have enough to offer to make a major impact in this segment, especially given the more intense competition with the new M35/45 & the new RL.

Oh...My...God!!! I believe that these are the first actual photos of the car that we've seen in a color other than silver, and it looks incredible. The front end, the side shot, the rear, it all looks amazing to me. The design comes together in a way that is very unique looking, but also very agressive, sporty, and elegant. It also doesn't look anything like the 5 Series (IMO) with the flame surfacing that some people were concerned about.
Also, the fact that this car is being tuned at Nurburgring is NOTHING BUT GOOD. It seems to me that Lexus is getting serious about building an actual midsize performance sedan.
