My opinion - looks like a hunk of poo

Trying to make the "old look" modern doesn't work for me. And that's what Saleen does make Mustangs more sleek. Basically better and the old look of the new Mustang doesn't work well with Saleen.

The Saleen, however, looks much more interesting. I'd probably hit it.
EDIT: What's up w/ the non-retractable antenna on the passenger front-end? Geez - Ford really needs to get with the times and put it away.

This whole retro styling we're-out-of-ideas-so-we'll-ressurect-a-design-from-when-we-didn't-suck philosophy shows a huge weakness on Ford's part and IMO it's insulting to consumers. Trying to regurgitate 40-year old styles on us when EVERYONE ELSE is moving forward and innovating to me, seems wack. I'm okay with the idea on a commemorative supercar like the Ford GT. (which is a bad-*** machine that'd I'd hit with both hands) But not on a mainstream, cheaply built, low-tech commonplace Mustang.
And the cars in this post look worse than the stock ones because they applied new-school mods and styles to a 60's-inspired design.
OF COURSE IT WILL LOOK LIKE CRAP.
I don't like this whole idea, period. Design a new car, guys. This is embarrasing.

I think they're both ugly... like mutant 1967 fast backs mixed with a riced out '99 GT
The rouche has a hideous front end.
The Saleen has honda civic like side skirts and a terrible rear end... what's going on back there -- that spoiler doesn't even fit right!

The Roush just stinks. I never thought someone would have the audacity to put that rice-bulldozer front-end body kit on an American car, looks ugly on asian cars and domestic cars are no different.
The Saleen looks better, but IMO it would not make me bat an eyelash if I saw it on the street. The last gen Mustang was way better, especially hooked up.
I agree with everyone here who said this retrostyling bites. Come up with something new, don't rehash the same old designs. It may have worked 40 years ago, but not now.
