21 year old university student. LOL! They're pretty cheap and reliable transportation. Body on frame structure has always been the thing for me as that's what I grew up with. Not too obsessed with hard cornering, etc. or high end luxury amenities...but they're great cars to travel with down a freeway...you could be doing over 100+ MPH and nobody feels a thing. So, they're "the" cars for me. Hopefully somewhere down the line when I'm making enough money, I do want an LS Series.
I'm no cop.

Used to have a box Caprice...got read ended by a Nissan Pathfinder. All I had was a broken tail light...the Pathfinder was towed to the junkyard.

Since used would take me all day to create a list, I'll list my favorite new cars $60k. This is MSRP, dealer mark up is f'in retarded anyways.
-GS430
-C6 Vette
-CTS-V
-Lotus Elise (no one said this yet?)
-BMW M3 (Reliability blah blah blah, this car is just too amazing to brush aside.)

The new Mustang is basic transportation trash just like all mustangs have always been.
If the point of this thread was to identify decent cars that you'd be happy owning if you could only afford a 28 thousand dollar mod-able street car - then yes, I could understand including the Mustang in your list.
But, honestly, it doesn't belong, nor can it be reasonably compared with any cars new or used that cost ~ $60k.

Many cars nowadays, like it or not, sell on looks as much as quality.
And the 2005 Mustang was designed SPECIFICALLY for looks.
