What are your favorite top 5 cars under 60K? New or used. Doesn't have to be a Lexus

60k used is going to open up a whole can of worms... there are just too many choices... ill keep em relatively recent....

MKIV supra(my personal affliction is the TT hardtop)
E39 M5- just the best daily driver made! sport and luxury
porsche 993 turbo just an amazing car... style, luxury, power, and class
acura NSX surely overpriced from the factory.. but a reliable performer that handles like a dream
mazda RX-7 FD3S the most versatile car with attributes that no other car can achieve.... unfortunately not reliable enough, but worth having as a second or third car.

mmm... i just have to make it 6.. the nissan S15 silvia... probably the best drift car made...not released here in the states, but u can get one imported....

now that i look at the list its a bit too much sport and not enough luxury... so i would also have to consider throwing on... the lexus GS430, mercedes E55( i suppose u can find one used in the ballpark...), and mehhh... 2001 mercedes S500, S55, or S600... depending on what you can find for the price. i realize mercedes quality has went down, but their styling kicks the crap out of lexus styling except for the GS (which goes down the drain once the new GS comes out)

sorry couldnt narrow it down lol

Marauder has a DOHC engine whilst the rest have an SOHC. Not necessarily buy all 4 of them, but those are cars I would be considering. Yes, I am obsessed with those cars.

Yes, you do. I don't BS when it comes to cars. The 2005 Mustang combines a modern chassis (in spite of the live axle), and modern engineering with Classic 60's looks.....something NO Mustang has done for some 35 years. The T-Bird tried it a few years ago but didn't quite succeed...the front end looked too much like an early Corvette and not enough.like a classic T-Bird.
The Ford GT also succeeds in this area but is over Hustla's $60,000 limit.

Yeah...surprises me too, to some extent, but , hey, there are people who STILL like the big Ford V8 full-frame rear-drivers, even besides cab drivers, cops, seniors, and limo firms....and who are we to make fun of them? That's why they're still on the market. GM now admits that dropping its full-sized body-on-frame rear-drivers....the Caprice, Impala SS, Roadmaster, and Fleetwood was a mistake.
And they DO have some good things going for them. They offer a LOT of crash protection, a big, durable body-on-frame chassis that will take a lot of punishment that would bend the hell out of a unibody car, low noise levels for those who want a relaxed ride, and ease of repair and maintenance. Of course, this has to be balanced against sloppy handling, overboosted power steering, and poor traction on slippery surfaces.

I'm no cop. 21 year old university student. LOL! They're pretty cheap and reliable transportation. Body on frame structure has always been the thing for me as that's what I grew up with. Not too obsessed with hard cornering, etc. or high end luxury amenities...but they're great cars to travel with down a freeway...you could be doing over 100+ MPH and nobody feels a thing. So, they're "the" cars for me. Hopefully somewhere down the line when I'm making enough money, I do want an LS Series.
