As speculated, these cars will not have replacements. Not sure of the Civic-Type-R hatch we don't get. The reason is Honda is trying to make even more money and sees no reason to build these cars and train people to see/fix them. Expect more SUVs and Trucks. I think we might have had a thread about this but I just read it in CAR magazine.

Sigh...business decisions are always all about making money, and never about enthusiasm or emotion.
If only they were in a better financial situation...

Thumbs down

Honda's officially gone soft.

Bring on that dumpy-*** SUT of theirs!!! *vomit*

EDIT: This also mean that Honda will not have a single RWD vehicle on the market. That sends them into the "Instant Lame-age" category. Good job, guys.

Yup the car world. Really is going to crap fast.

The best time-era for cars in my opinion? 1990-95. Totally sweet, fresh new designs, Japanese luxury devisions kicking serious butt.... etc.

Now all the best cars are being discontinued left and right.

I cannot believe the NSX AND S2000 were discontinued. This is a travesty.

I can see why they discontinued em, they didnt really sell too many of thoes cars. Same thing with the GTRs. To manufacturers its all about profit of course.

Best era was 90-95? That just means you were most impressionable then.

Mercedes has all kinds of turbo and supercharged HUGELY powerful cars right now that all look damn good.

BMW's ruined its line pretty much, although the 645 looks pretty good.

The newest Porsche is easily the best design yet, and the C5 and now C6 vettes are easily the best.

The 350Z and G35 Coupe are great looking cars.

Don't be so pessimistic!

Man that sucks. I wanted to own a NSX one day. That car could wipe some serious *&%$ on the track. Seen many videos of the NSX out cornering other more powerful cars. Just a beautiful Japanese Supercar.

Hopefully they'll focus on the performance of their Acuras more. Maybe their will be something in that segment that will be of some kind of high performance.

yeah i heard about that couple days ago from my friend who read it on the mag. i didn't want to believe it but i guess that's true now.....

they have never talked about replacement of the s2k, so i kinda expected it to go already. honda thought about having replacement for the nsx, but after scrapping their latest design, i got a bad feeling already...

and even taking away the itr r, that's too much man

i wanted to own a s2k and later on an nsx.... guess i have to do it fast

You know where there is one 94 NSX waiting for you if you want it? Remember, that price is only for friends so the rest of the public will have to pay a few thousand more

Sport coupes in general have been losing market share - look at the Z4 sales. While in general Honda may cut back on development - I doubt the relatively new S2000 (updated just last year) will get the axe right away (it still sells 500/mo and is about even with last year). They could pull the plug on the NSX any day and no one would notice (Acura sells about 10/mo). I'm sure when the new Civic comes out next year there'll be some type of "sporty" model for the ricers to lust after.

hopefully the CTR, the k20a3 motor in the 04 hatch has very little potential compared to the k20a and the k20a2, my bro complains alot of how slow his hatch is lolz
